Cantilever electro-slag welding machine is the main device in Box-beam welding production line. It is a special machine for welding the seams between baffle plate and bottom plate. There are two kinds of welding types for Box-beam baffle plate electro-slag welding: nozzle melt and wire melt.

Nozzle melt is a kind of electro-slag welding that melts the contact tube (nozzle) and welding wire together. The contact tube will stay while welding wire is fed when welding. Actually, contact tube comes to be a part of welding wire. Features for nozzle melt electro-slag welding:

a. electro-slag welding part has a simple structure. Its welding power often comes from our country, so the cost will be low.

b. There’s welding flux covering the contact tube. It will join the process of melting the metal, and improve the organizational structure of metal in welding seam.

c. The contact tube will be melt with wire, so it is expendable, the cost will be high, and different sizes of Box-beam needs different contact tubes.

d. Using φ2.4mm welding wire, welding speed is slower than wire melt type.
